Division II

ARCHBISHOP MITTY

     Archbishop Mitty won the Division II C.C.S. Championship.   Mitty has played in the C.C.S. Championship Match the last eighteen years.   The last six years the Monarchs have played in the C.C.S. Division II Championship Match, winning every year, the previous 8 years the Monarchs had played in the C.C.S. Division I Championship Match, winning 6 times.   The Monarchs were Division III Champions in 1994 and Mitty was the Division IV Champions in 1991, 1992, and 1993.  This is the sixth Division II C.C.S. Championship for the Monarchs (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008).
 

Division III

SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL

     Sacred Heart Cathedral won the C.C.S. Division III Championship Match.  The Fightin' Irish won the Division IV C.C.S. Championship in 2005.   Sacred Heart Cathedral has won the Division III Championship in 1989, 2004, 2007, and 2008.  The Fightin' Irish have played in the C.C.S. Championship Match in 1990, 1991, and 1997.
 

VALLEY CHRISTIAN

     The Warriors lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral in the C.C.S. Division III Championship Match in four games (26-28, 25-21, 25-13, 25-19) in 2008.   Valley Christian lost to Menlo School in the C.C.S. Division IV Semifinals in four games (21-25, 24-26, 25-18, 24-26) in 2005.  
     The Warriors won the 1986 C.C.S. Division III Championship Match.   Valley Christian lost the 2008 C.C.S. Division III Championship Match.  The Warriors have lost once times in the C.C.S. Division III Semifinals (2008).  Valley Christian lost the 1999 C.C.S. Division IV Championship Match.  The Warriors have lost five times in the C.C.S. Division IV Semifinals (1994, 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2004).  Valley Christian lost in the 1992 C.C.S. Division V Semifinals.  The Warriors have lost three times in the C.C.S. Division II North Region Semifinals (1982, 1983 and 1984).

SAINT IGNATIUS

     The Wildcats  lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral in the C.C.S. Division III Semi Final Match in three games (25-21, 25-18, 25-14) in 2008.   Saint Ignatius lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral in the C.C.S. Division III Championship Match in three games (25-18, 25-20, 25-20) in 2007.   The Wildcats  lost to Saint Francis in the C.C.S. Division III Semifinals in four games (22-25, 17-25, 25-20, 19-25) in 2005.  
     Saint Ignatius was the Division III runner ups in 2004, and 2007. 
 

NOTRE DAME

     Notre Dame lost to Valley Christian in the C.C.S. Division III Semi Final Match in five games (25-21, 22-25, 25- 7, 22-25, 15-12 ) in 2008.     The Tigers lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral in the C.C.S. Division III Semi Final Match in four games (25-13, 25-21, 23-25, 25-23) in 2007.  
     Notre Dame won the C.C.S. Division III Championship Match in 2006.  The Tigers won their third C.C.S. Championship in 2006.   Notre Dame won the Division III Championship in 1997 and 2006.   The Tigers were the Division IV Champions in 1996.   Notre Dame has played in four C.C.S. Championship Matches.   The Tigers were the C.C.S. Division IV runner up in 1994.   This is the nineteenth year that Notre Dame has participated in the C.C.S. Volleyball Playoffs.

SAINT FRANCIS

     Saint Francis lost the C.C.S. Division II Championship Match in 2007.  The Lancers won the 2003 Division III C.C.S. Championship by defeating Presentation in 3 games (27-25, 25-13, 25-20).  Saint Francis had played in the C.C.S. Championship Match for fourteen years from 1990 until 2003.  The Lancers won the Division II C.C.S. Championship Match for 9 years in row (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002).  Saint Francis was the Division I Champions in 1976, 1977, 1990, 1991, and 1992.  The Lancers were the Division II runner ups in 1993, 2006, and 2007.  Saint Francis lost the C.C.S. Division III Championship Match in 2005.  That was their second Division III C.C.S. Championship Match.
 

PRESENTATION

     Presentation lost to Saint Francis in the C.C.S. Division II Semi Final Match in four games (25-22, 14-25, 25-18, 25-15) in 2007.   Presentation won the Division III C.C.S. Championship by defeating Saint Francis in 3 games (25-20, 25-22, 25-17) in 2005.  Presentation has won C.C.S. Division III Championships in  1998, 2001, 2002, and 2005.   The Panthers won a Division I Championship in 1999.  Presentation played in C.C.S. Division III Championship Match in 1987, and 2000.
 

SACRED HEART PREP

     Sacred Heart Prep lost to Mount Madonna in the C.C.S. Division III Semi Final Match in three games (25-15, 25-16, 25-17) in 2007.   Sacred Heart Prep played for the C.C.S. Division V championship in 2005.  The Gators have won eleven C.C.S. Championships.  Sacred Heart Prep has won the C.C.S. Division III Championship in 1988, 1989, and 1990.  The Gators have won the C.C.S. Division V Championship eight times (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998).  This is only the second Championship Match lost by Sacred Heart Prep (2001 and 2005).
 

     NOTE:   Sacred Heart Prep was a member of the Girl's West Catholic Athletic League from 2002 Fall Sports Season until 2008 Spring Sports Season
